Introduction
Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories (コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ ロストストーリーズ) is a game developed by f4samurai and DMM Games. And, as many other games (not all games) developed by DMM Games, you can play on mobile, iOS and PC.
- If you create an account on mobile, you're tied to the account and can't play on PC. The same applies to iOS.
- You can, however, before creating an account on either mobile or iOS, use a VPN of your choice and connect to a Japanese IP address, then you can create your account.
- Creating an account with a Japanese IP address enables you to link this account to your DMM Player if you ever so wish to play on PC.
- You can also try to use Android Emulators, but so far all the results resulted in crashes.
- You can also skip that process and open a VPN of your choice, connect to a Japanese IP address on your PC/notebook, create an DMM account, install DMM Player. Then install Code Geass Lost Stories on your PC/notebook.
- Doing this method, your Lost Stories game account is tied to your DMM account, and you can play on any PC/notebook besides your own.
- You can also set up an ID and password in-game, enabling the possibility of transferring the game to your mobile device, without having to unlink it from your PC.
- Be mindful that you can't play both devices at the same time, and you always need to VPN on to play on PC.
- However, once you've transferred your game from PC to your mobile, you will only need the VPN for the first time you are playing. The sessions afterward doesn't require the use of a VPN.
Creating a DMM Account
- Before anything else, be sure to connect to a VPN of your choice and connect to a Japanese IP address, otherwise most contents will be IP blocked for you.
- The site should look similar to the image above. If you've stumbled on the other one, it will ask for an Age Check, and then you should deal with that on your own.
- After arriving at the home page, you should hover the mouse on the menu on the top left, just by the logo. There you click on オンラインゲーム which will take you to "games.dmm.com".
- Make absolutely sure the site address looks like "games.dmm.com" and not "games.dmm.com/top/en". Otherwise, your VPN connection might not be working properly. DMM Games and DMM Games EN are totally different, the Japanese games are not available on the English website.
- You could also go straight to DMM Games website and skip the steps above, but don't forget your VPN.
- This is the main page, the game featured is random, so don't worry if it is slightly different from the image above.
- From here, you should click on Registration (会員登録) and you should be on the next page.
- You can choose to create an account using Google Gmail, X (Twitter), LINE, Facebook or by email (メールアドレス). For the sake of this tutorial, I'll be selecting email.
- After picking email, you will arrive at this page, prompting you to input an email address and a password.
- The email should be a valid email, it will not work if you try using disposable or temporary email accounts. (the first box)
- The password needs to be at least 8 characters long, and 36 characters at most. It can be numbers or letters. (the second box)
- The four check boxes below only ask you about newsletter, you can go ahead and uncheck them if you want.
- After registering your account with your email, DMM Games will email you for confirmation.
- For privacy reasons, there won't be any screenshots of the email itself. But on said email confirmation, there should be a link. If you can't click on it, you can copy and paste this link on your browser.
- After clicking on the link they sent you, it will show you a message that the email has been confirmed, and you should log in to your account, by click the button that says ログイン on it.
- The login page is similar to the registration one, just input your email (or click on any of the options if you linked it differently) and password.
- After logging in, you should go ahead and download DMM Player.
Downloading DMM Player
- There are two methods you can download it, but ultimately they're all the same.
- Method 1:
- You can go to "geass-game.com" and click on DMM Player, which will prompt you to Play Now (blue button) or Install DMM Game Player (yellow button). Click on the yellow button, if you are logged in to your DMM Account, it will automatically download for you, but if you aren't, you will need to log in first.
- Method 2:
- You can go to the DMM Games main page, scroll down and look for the game you want to download, in this case Code Geass Lost Stories, which will take you to the official game website.
- The main screen should look like that, empty.
- After downloading and installing DMM Player, it will ask again for you to log in to your account, and it will automatically ask if you want to install the game. Choose the folder you want to install the game.
- The screen that pops up when you are prompted to install a game has two checkboxes. Those are asking you to "Open the game after installation" (the first checkbox) and "Create a desktop icon" (the second checkbox). You are free to decide however you want.
- Once the game have been installed, and you unchecked the box to open it directly, you can do so by clicking ダウンロード版でプレイ button when you hover your mouse on the game icon.
- And you're finally good to play Code Geass Lost Stories on your PC/notebook.
Reminders
- Remember to be connected to a VPN of your choice, using a Japanese IP address, otherwise it will not work.
- Once you've created a game account on mobile, but not using a VPN, you will NOT be able to play the PC version. Why? Because the game will lock your IP to your account, hence why you'd need a VPN before creating a game account.
