Pilots

There are 6 pilot types in Code Geass Lost Stories, represented by different chess pieces (excluding pawn) and these are their general roles:

Assault types (Knight) (突撃) are deployed first in battle to provide cost points

Guard types (Rook) (守護) are tanks with high DEF and block

Repair types (Bishop) (修理) are healers and do not attack outside of KMF skills

Exterminator types (Queen) (殲滅) are DPS damage dealers with high ATK but high cost

Strategist types (King) (策略) are support buffers/debuffers with low redeployment times

Specialist types (Star) (特殊) are support with unique skills that reduce allies cost and heals
